The City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club is located at City Beach in Perth, Western Australia. The club was formed in 1925 by members of the City of Perth Amateur Swimming Club, to provide a volunteer water safety and surf rescue service. It has now grown to become one of Australia’s largest and most successful surf life saving clubs. The club patrols a 2 km stretch of beach, between Swanbourne rifle range and Floreat groyne, from
1 October to 31 March. With life saving still as a primary goal, the club is quickly becoming a social hub for members of the community.
