For new nippers each family must register a General Parent

1. Determine the type of your Membership and fee payable by referring to table above.
2. Create a SLSA account here.

3. Your new SLSA account will take you through to the payment gateway. If you click out of this page, click here to reload.
Please ensure you indicate clearly in the payment description what the payment is for.  If you require assistance, please see example here.
4. Once payment is made, your application is complete.

Existing Nipper and General Parent Members or Club Transfers

1. Determine your membership fee payable by referring to the table below.
2. Sign in to your SLSA portal account here.
3. If you are renewing your membership, select the memberships tab and renewals, payments and transfers.
4. If you are transferring clubs, select the memberships tab and choose join/transfer.
5. If needed, update your details and follow the prompts.
6. Your new SLSA account will take you through to the payment gateway. If you click out of this page, click here to reload.
Please ensure you indicate clearly in the payment description what the payment is for.  If you require assistance, please see example here.
7. Once payment is made, your application is complete.

If you have any problems signing up, please contact Kylie Leaman via email or 08 6183 3844 for assistance. Kylie is in the office Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am – 2pm and Saturday 9am – 12pm.

Our first day of Woodside Nippers is 9:00am Sunday 22nd October and is for children aged between 7 and 13 years. The Under 6 age group program does not commence until 4th February 2024 – TBC. The Woodside Nippers program is a safe and fun environment to learn ocean skills. Ensure to register your child to be part of the fun at City Beach. Our online registration for the upcoming season is open! We advise you to save your spot and register for the 2023/2024 season as soon as possible. Following the table on this page is a set of instructions on how to register and pay for you and your nipper online.

Please note, for your child(ren) to participate in Nippers there must be at least ONE General Parent per family registered.

Junior (Nipper)
(Surfguard category: Junior Activity Member 6 to 13 years)
  • Age 6 to 12 (as of 30 September each season).
  • Age groups determined by age.
  • Nippers learn beach safety & lifesaving concepts in a fun environment. 
  • All Nipper applications must be accompanied by a General Parent application or a parent who is already a club member.

U6 Nipper
(Your child must be born between 01/10/2016 – 30/09/2017).
  • Our U6 Nipper group runs through a shortened potion of the season. First day for our U6 group is 4th December 2022 with the program wrapping up on 22nd January 2023.
  • All Nipper applications must be accompanied by a General Parent application or a parent who is already a club member.

General Parent
(Surfguard category: General) 
  • No qualifications or awards are required to assist with Nipper BBQ, set up or non-water based activities.
  • If you want to be actively involved assisting with nipper activities and water safety, a Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion is required.

  • Up to maximum 2 parents and 3 children
  • Eligible if your memberships are over $620.00 excluding gym memberships.
