The Pool Rescue Championships provide competitors with the opportunity to demonstrate their skill and training across numerous aquatic events. The championships involve several events that focus on vital rescue proficiencies; including a manikin tow and carry, a line throw, and an obstacle course that requires competitors to navigate under and over various barriers.
While the Pool Rescue Championships feature many elite athletes, they also provide apprehensive competitors the opportunity to build their confidence in a pool setting.
Competitors who achieve success at the state competitions may be selected to represent the Western Suns Competition Team at the Pool Rescue Interstate Championships.
The Western Australian Pool Rescue Series normally takes place in the Winter months from May to July, with the Interstate Championships held in August.
