Fuel to Go & Play Pool Rescue State Championships

City of Perth SLSC may have taken a small team to this year’s SLSWA Fuel to Go & Play Pool Rescue State Championships, but our competitors certainly made a big impression. Every athlete gave their absolute best, showed great determination in every event, and demonstrated the sportsmanship and team spirit that our Club is proud of.

Throughout the day, teammates encouraged one another from poolside, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere. A special thank you also goes to our wonderful parents who generously gave their time to support the team and assist as timekeepers. Your contribution helped make the event possible.

Our athletes achieved an outstanding collection of results, including numerous individual and relay medals. Standout performances included Olivia Turco (three individual medals and three relay gold medals), Charlotte Papps (individual gold and three relay gold medals), Isla Dorrington (individual gold and three relay gold medals), Callum Fraser (two silver medals and a bronze), Morrie Goodsell (silver and two bronze medals), and Hannah Mason, whose relay performances contributed to multiple gold medal finishes. There were also strong top-six performances across all age groups from Lucy England, Amy Maddox, Amelie England, Drew Leyland, Mia Dorrington, Isabella England, Ellen Maddox, Sophia Roussos, Alby Thompson, Conner Potter and Mishka Knipe.

Congratulations to every competitor on representing City of Perth SLSC with pride. Your hard work, resilience and encouragement of one another was outstanding.
