The Silver Medallion IRB Driver provides the opportunity for participants to develop the skills and knowledge required to be a safe and effective driver in an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB).
- Minimum of 16 years of age to commence training.
- Minimum of 17 years of age on the date of final assessment.
- Hold and be currently proficient in the following SLSA awards:
  - Bronze Medallion.
  - IRB Crew Certificate.
  - Hold a current skippers ticket.
  - Completion of the Third-Party Report verifying minimum of eight operational hours as a qualified crewperson or similar experience.
  - You must be a financial member of the club.
