Junior Surf Sports @ City

The Junior Surf Sports program has been developed for those who are interested in improving their board/surf swimming in both performance based and technique in the flat water and ocean.  The sessions held are for a range of levels and ages, from as young as U8 all the way up to U13.

U8 – U10

Time and location to be confirmed

For beginners who want to gain confidence and technique on the mini mal before heading into the ocean.  It’s a good session to bring down young kids who are struggling with board and need some extra work.  Kids who are older and are also dealing with confidence and technique issues are also welcome to attend these sessions.

U11 – U13

Time and location to be confirmed

This session is best suited for the more serious competitors who want to train, get better as well as improve their technique in the surf.  This session will again have a technique focus but will also push the kids, which will improve their performances in competitions and is a great way for them to keep fit, fast and healthy.  This session includes both board and swim.

U10 – U13

Time and location to be confirmed

This is an ironman related session before the Nippers program on Sundays for the older years who want to improve all legs of the ironman event; board, swim and run.  It’s very much like the Wednesday session, so it’s a great way to get a consistent training schedule for those who want to improve all the way through the season.

Coaching Lessons

During the sessions, our coach will also be providing lesson on coaching for all parents who would like to gain valuable skills and to become involved.  Please reach out to the Coach – Martin Gallagher if you would like more information on juniorsports@cityofperthslsc.com.au
